Here's the stuff parents and players ask the most. If something's not covered, get in touch and we'll add it.
Weekly training is open to kids aged 14–17, plus younger players aged 12–13 who want training only. Friday-night competition is for 14–17 year olds — 12–13 year olds train with their club but don't play the Friday comp. Proof of age must be available to make any insurance claim.
Not at all — Junior Rebound is beginner friendly and all levels are welcome. Every club has coaches drawn from our existing VolleyPlus pool whose job is exactly this: teaching skills, building confidence, and helping kids improve week to week. Total beginners turn up alongside more experienced players, and our coaches tailor the session so everyone gets something out of it.
Registration opens via this site. As a parent or guardian, you create an account, add your child's details, pick a club (one of the four nights), agree to the consents, and pay the term fee upfront.
Active wear suitable for beach volleyball and a water bottle. Shoes are not permitted, socks are optional — beach volleyball is played barefoot. We'll provide all balls and equipment.
Each club trains on a different night of the week. Magic on Mondays, Tigers Tuesdays, Wizards Wednesdays, and Thunder Thursdays. You sign up for one club — that becomes your crew, your night, and your colours. Once we kick off Friday-night competition (from Term 3), the four clubs play each other.
90 minutes — 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM each week. Same time every week, same club, same coach.
Before the competition starts in Term 3 (July), we run one-off 2.5-hour junior clinics on the sand at Brunswick — open to ages 12–17, all levels welcome, just $10 per child. They're a relaxed way to try beach volleyball before committing to a club for the season. Sign up to any session at our bookings page.
Friday-night competition launches in Term 3 (July), running 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM (45 minute timeslots, teams will rotate times each week). It's for players aged 14–17 — once it's live, your club takes on the others each Friday afternoon.
All Junior Rebound coaches are drawn from VolleyPlus' existing coach and referee pool — same people who run our adult competitions. They all have current Working with Children Checks (WWCC) and relevant coaching experience.
Yes — life happens. Just let us know in advance via your family portal where possible. Fees are paid for the term as a whole and aren't pro-rated for missed sessions, but in unusual circumstances we'll work something out — get in touch.
